As you know, Melvin N. Miles, Jr., Director of University Bands at Morgan State University, is retiring as of July 1, 2022, after 49 years of service to the Band program and the University.

Mr. Miles’ fondest wish is to develop a fund to directly support the Morgan State University Band Program. To this end, the Melvin and Cathy Miles Endowed Fund was established through the Morgan State University Foundation by a generous donation from the Miles’. All money raised during the retirement events will go into this fund.

On behalf of the planning committee, it is our pleasure to announce ways that you can contribute to this fund in honor of Mr. Melvin N. Miles, Jr. All gifts can be made by an individual or an organization.

$5,000 and Above | National President's Circle
At this giving level, you will receive 2 (two) tickets to the History Presentation on April 23, 2022, 2 (two) tickets to the Melvin N. Miles, Jr., retirement gala on June 25, 2022, and your name will be included in the
Program to be developed for the gala in June.*

$1,000-$4,999 | Director's Circle
At this giving level, you will receive 2 (two) tickets to the History Presentation on April 23, 2022, and your name will be included in the program to be developed for the gala in June.*
$500-$999 | Conductor's Circle
Your name will be included in the program to be developed for the gala in June.*
$100-$499 | Arranger’s Circle
Your name will be included in the program to be developed for the gala in June.*
$50-$99 | Educator’s Circle
Your name will be included in the program to be developed for the gala in June.*
$25-$49 | Students of the University
Your name will be included in the program to be developed for the gala in June.*

*For inclusion in the gala program, gifts must be received by May 15, 2022.
